  1. Thank you so much for your blog. We have a son (actually my stepson) who has bopolar disorder. If it weren't for our faith, we would probably not be still married. It is wonderful to find other Christians who are in the same struggle we are in. Christ has made all the difference. Thank you for your transparency. I also have a blog to encourage people of faith and let them know that they are not alone and others understand how they feel. Thank you again for being faithful to your calling.

  2. Dear faithpassagesblog. So sorry I missed your comment. Just read your blog, "God's Flowers." I so love your comment about "God-eyes." I will use it in our Family Grace Group. It sounds like you would make a fine Family Grace Group leader. We love Joe Padilla and his team. Feel free to check out their website, mentalhealthgracealliance.org.

  3. What does one do to get a teen son or daughter help when our private insurance doesn’t offer mental health benefits but we don’t have the money to pay out of pocket? Where do we turn to? In one week’s time 2 ER visits we will get billed for at $500, a visit to the pediatrician and nothing wrong they tell us when clearly there is.

  4. Dear Blessedmama, please feel free to email Julie directly at miracleminutes@gmail.com, for a more detailed discussion. You are right, getting the right care is unfortunately not easy - and can be expensive. Don't know what state you live in, but most all states have Public Health departments. You should google this for your state. In Texas, it's known as MHMR, Mental Health, Mental Retardation. We have been pleased with feedback from many parents in the same situation as you, that have sought out medical care, psychiatrists, psychologists, proper medicines, etc., in the Texas county they live in - all typically free. This is one resource that may be very helpful to you. Again, feel free to email Julie. She loves to visit with folks that want help. Todd
